Surface Preparation
An important step in applying floor coating is the proper surface preparation for each paint system. It determines the durability of the paint system to be applied. An effective surface preparation method will provide the appropriate roughness of the substrate to ensure good bonding between the floor layers.
IFS has invested and used products from leading manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the best and most effective surface preparation for all types of surfaces:
- Blastrac®: World's leading company in mobile surface preparation technology and equipment including Shot Blasting Machine, Scarifying machine, Dust collector, Grinding machine, Scraping..
- Delphin®: Professional supplier of industrial dust collector in the world.
- HTG®: A reputable supplier with many types of floor grinding machines, including high-performance floor grinding machines and accessories used for floor grinding and polishing.
IFS always chooses to use the surface preparation method suitable for specific surface and product to bring the highest quality and efficiency including:
- Máy bắn bi (Shot Blasting): is the most effective surface preparation method, creating a uniform surface for concrete surfaces on multiple grades of roughness (CPS) by changing the size of the steel balls and the speed of blasting. This is an environmentally friendly method, not using any chemical products, produces less dust during construction because the amount of dust and pollutants are always separated and collected by the attached dust collector (Dust Collectors).
- This is a surface preparation method that the world’s leading paint manufacturers require their applicators to use.
- Máy bào sàn (Scarifying): The method used to remove old coatings or create large rough surfaces on concrete. The machine uses different shape cutting heads depending on the application attached to the spindle tube. When the axis of rotation will create the blade oil acting on the surface with high speed breaking the coating or abrasive concrete surface to create roughness.
- Máy mài (Grinding): A common method for grinding involves removing imperfections, removing old floor coverings and flattening concrete floors before proceeding with subsequent treatment methods. Suitable for surface preparation of thin coatings or for application in con;hcrete floor polishing.
- Cắt (Cutting): The machine is used to cut construction joints, the edge of the drainage ditches, the foot of the wall to create adhesion, bonding, cut open cracks, joints or adjacent to other materials..
- Hút bụi (Dust Collection): Dust collector is used together with surface preparation equipment to reduce the amount of dust generated during construction as well as to clean the surface before applying floor coatings.
